Well, I think Spring has finally sprung. Although you wouldn’t have known it a few weeks ago with 2 days of snow off and on. Alta and Snowbird actually received 2 feet of snow. But it’s so nice to see the trees finally bursting with blooms and the grass getting green.
Sophie’s preschool presented a Mother’s Day Program, which was so sweet and touching. I knew her preschool was going to have this little show and every time I asked her about it, the only response she would give me, “it’s a surprise!” She is learning SO much these days. It drives Vince and me bonkers with all her questions, but at the same time I’m equally amazed with how much she already knows for a 4 year old. I don’t think I knew half the things she knows when I was 6 years old. Anyway, she just loves it when I “interview” her with questions. Here are her responses:

Sophie is still extremely reticent when other people approach her. However, out in public you would think otherwise, being quite the silly goose, bold, melodramatic, amusing, witty, calling me “sweetie” or “honey.” Or when she’s trying to explain something to me and says “Momma, look at me, do you understand what I’m saying?” Or gives me orders while driving to keep both hands on the wheels. Or when she stops me from crossing the parking lot because there’s a car approaching. She says, “don’t go, there’s a car coming!” holding me back like she’s the grown-up. You should see the people in their cars just laughing and smiling at her. I can tell, she really wants to be the Momma and asks on a regular basis, when she can become a Momma.
